Feral Hog Trap Models

Boss Hawg builds feral hog traps and pens at our shop in Cross Plains, Texas. Every model is framed in 1½”, fourteen gauge square steel tubing with 6 gauge wire panels, MIG welded throughout and prime coated. Pick the model that suits your ground and the size of the sounder you are working.

Standard Trap

4′ x 8′ x 3′. Fits in a full-size pickup bed, so one person can move it between fields without a trailer. Trip wire and swing gate included. A hinged-floor version is available for easier removal of captured hogs. See the Standard trap.

Big Pen

A panel-built pen for landowners working whole sounders rather than single hogs. Built from the same heavy tubing and wire panels, sized to the site. See the Big Pen.

Pro Pen

Our complete package: the pen, a loading ramp and panel gates, with the trip wire set for the gates. See the Pro Pen.

Custom Builds

If none of the standard sizes fits your situation, we build custom. Give us a call and let us build you a trap that fits your needs.

How It Is Built

  • Frame: 1½”, fourteen gauge square steel tubing, with bracing throughout
  • Panels: 6 gauge wire panels
  • Welds: MIG welded, all of it
  • Finish: prime coated tubing for field life in weather

Light-gauge traps bend and hogs learn. Every Boss Hawg trap has been field tested for continuous loading, retention and durability. See how we build them.
